Congressional funding and Oversight

Through legislation, the U.S. Congress funds GPS, which is supported fully by U.S. taxpayers and has no other source of funding.
The following congressional committees have provided strong support for GPS and have conducted hearings on GPS since 2009:

In the U.S. Senate

  • Armed Services Committee
  • Foreign Relations Committee
  • Appropriations Committee
  • Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation

In the U.S. House of Representatives

  • Armed Services Committee
  • Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
  • Energy and Commerce Committee
  • Science, Space and Technology Committee
  • Oversight and Government Reform Committee
  • Small Business Committee
